No, The Shopper Experience does not require you to invest money to become a Shopper. Accredited Mystery Shopper companies generally do not charge "membership fees," and you should be careful if a company requests a fee in advance to become a Shopper.
Some The Shopper Experience assignments require the purchase of a meal or small item based on the client specifications. These assignments always include a reimbursement, which will be indicated in the instructions for each assignment. In other words, once the visit and the survey have been approved, The Shopper Experience will reimburse you for the consumption expense made according to the instruction.
To access the Platform, go to theshopperexperience.com/shoppers, search for and click on the light blue button that says "Log In", there enter the username and password that we sent you by email after the interview.
Only Shoppers who have passed the interview and remain Active in the system will be able to access the Platform. If you did not perform audits for a long time, the system will label you as Inactive. If this is your case and you want to perform audits again, let us know to re-enable your user.
If you forgot your username and/or password, check the email we sent you when your User was activated. You will also receive a reminder of this information by email within the notifications of new available visits. Check your email! Also look for it in the Spam, Promotions, or Social boxes.
When entering your access data, keep in mind to respect uppercase, lowercase, numbers and spaces. If you enter the data incorrectly repeatedly, the system will block your User. If this happens or you had any trouble logging in contact your WhatsApp Assignments contact to resolve it.
No, Shoppers are considered independent contractors and perform market research services on behalf of The Shopper Experience clients. Some Shoppers do an occasional task for fun and extra money, while others choose to do multiple tasks each month. The number of tasks available depends on the performance shown by the Shoppers in each assignment. Most Shoppers perform tasks for several Mystery Shopping agencies.
Once a Shopper completes and receives payment for a project/assignment, neither party (The Shopper Experience or the contractor) will have ongoing contractual obligations with the other, until such time as the Shopper decides to perform another project/assignment.
The Shopper Experience Shoppers are independent contractors who are paid based on the audits they perform. Depending on the assignment and its requirements, the payment may vary and in case the task requires a meal or purchase, a reimbursement will be paid for that consumption. For residents in Argentina, Shoppers must send their own invoice for the amount to be received.
After receiving the surveys from the Shoppers (within the specified time frame), The Shopper Experience staff validates and processes payments. If Shoppers do not meet all the specifications of the assignment, The Shopper Experience reserves the right to withhold all or part of the specified compensation.
The payment process can usually take up to 15 days after your audit is approved. For residents in the US the payments are made through ZelleⓇ. For residents of Argentina, it is paid by wire transfer, and in case of not having a bank account, Shoppers can receive the payment in their Mercadopago account.
Payment is per visit made, the value depends on the difficulty and the time required for the task. You will be able to know the exact amount before applying for the assignment.
Residents of Argentina, will receive the payment by wire transfer, 15 days after submitting the work. If the submitted work is incomplete, this will delay your collection. The better you complete the requested information, the sooner you will receive payment!
If there was a delay in your payment, check if you sent your invoice by email and you were answered with the estimated payment date, and if you correctly uploaded the corresponding data on the Platform. The consumptions required by the client within the audit to evaluate the commercial attitude of the sellers and the attention received, for example, having a coffee in a cafe or buying a product in a store, will be reimbursed by The Shopper Experience to the Shopper along with the payment of his fees.
In the Platform you will always have available the instructions for each task and the necessary tutorials to use the system, so you can self-manage.
Depending on the difficulty of the requirements of each visit, you may receive online training through Google Meet.
If you have any questions before making your visit, you will have a WhatsApp number available to consult (available from Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm).
You can do as many as you want, as long as they are available and the times of each visit do not overlap. Remember that you must respect the dates of visit and survey submission.
In the case of a Mystery Shopping audit the Shopper will not be able to audit the same branch twice in a row, to avoid being detected.
Visits CANNOT be rescheduled once requested. If you know in advance that you will not be able to make the visit on the required date, DO NOT REQUEST IT.
You can only reject an already scheduled visit due to force majeure, otherwise the system will automatically take away the possibility of requesting visits from that client for a period of 12 months.

As an independent contractor, how far you travel is completely up to you. The Shopper Experience does not reimburse travel expenses, so we suggest you request visits in your vicinity. However, you can perform audits anywhere you are traveling.
If you are about to take a trip or are interested in areas outside your city, from your profile on the Platform you can select the regions you want to have available. However, keep in mind that you will need to meet any required submission deadlines and you will need to make sure you have internet access while you are out of town to complete the surveys.
The Shopper Experience will offer you audits close to your place of residence to avoid incurring extra expenses to mobilize. The Shopper Experience does not reimburse travel expenses, so we suggest you request visits in your vicinity. Always check the address of the premises before requesting the job and if you cannot cover the distance, do not request the visit.
Unless the survey expressly requires it, it must be carried out WITHOUT companions, without exception. Keep in mind that beyond experience, being a Shopper / Auditor (both technical and mystery) is a task that requires concentration and paying attention to what is happening around you in that moment, in order to report it correctly later.
In the available offers you will be able to see the exact date on which each visit must be made. You must make your visit on that date and you will have to complete the survey with the information the same day, without exception. If you know in advance that you will not be able to do the task on that date, do not request the visit, wait for new vacancies to become available.
If the deadline in which you had to complete the task expires and you did not send the information, the system will automatically make the visit available again for other shoppers, dismissing your assignment. Do not waste your opportunity!
Quality Assurance Editors review and evaluate all surveys received. Survey review takes 72 business hours.
This time can be delayed if the survey is missing information or is not clear enough. In such cases, one of our Editors will contact you to obtain the missing information in order to approve your survey. The approval time will also depend on the Shopper's delay in resolving these queries.
The more complete, detailed and well-written your survey is, the sooner it can be approved and your payment scheduled!
Audits consist of two parts: the visit (face-to-face, virtual, and/or by telephone), and the survey load. If one or both of these two instances are missing, the job is considered incomplete and will not be approved.
If the Shopper does not complete the audit within the required time and does not communicate to notify any inconvenience, The Shopper Experience will consider the task abandoned and will reassign it to another Shopper, to fulfill the commitment with the client.
If there is missing information or inconsistencies in the survey received, the Shopper will be consulted to resolve them. If the Shopper does not answer the queries within 24 hours, the survey will be considered incomplete, and the audit will be reassigned to another Shopper.
If the Shoppers do not meet all the specifications of the assignment (for example: bringing a companion if not required, not taking the mandatory photos, consuming something not indicated in the assignment, losing the consumption ticket, falsifying information, being detected or self-identify as a Mystery Shopper, etc.), The Shopper Experience reserves the right to nullify the audit and reassign it and/or withhold all or part of the specified compensation.
